Pinned: When something is “pinned” in internet slang, it means that a specific message, post, or thread has been highlighted or fixed in a prominent place for everyone to see. It is often done by the person who posted the content or by a moderator to ensure that important information remains easily accessible at the top of a webpage or discussion board.

Examples:

1. In a forum discussing a gaming event:

User1: Hey everyone, just a reminder that the tournament starts tomorrow at 5 PM! Make sure to practice and be ready.
User2: Thanks for the heads up! Can this message be pinned so that it doesn’t get buried under other posts?
Moderator: Sure! I’ve just pinned User1’s post to make sure it stays at the top of the page. Good luck in the tournament, everyone!

2. On a social media group:

User A: Guys, here’s a helpful article I found about DIY home repairs. It has some great tips!
User B: That’s awesome! Can you pin it so we can refer to it easily?
Group Admin: Absolutely! I’ve pinned User A’s post so that it remains visible to all members. Thanks for sharing, User A!
