Olive Theory is an internet slang term that refers to a concept where one person dislikes a certain food, like olives, while another person enjoys that food. It can be used to suggest that differences in taste can exist between people, and that such differences don’t necessarily mean one person is wrong or right. It highlights the idea that everyone has their own preferences and it is okay to disagree.

Example 1:
Person A: I can’t understand why anyone would like olives, they taste so bitter!
Person B: Well, that’s the Olive Theory in action. Just because you don’t like olives doesn’t mean others can’t enjoy them.

Example 2:
Person X: I don’t get why people like watching horror movies. They are so terrifying!
Person Y: It all comes down to the Olive Theory. What scares you might entertain others. It’s all a matter of personal preference.
