Friend Zone: When someone is romantically interested in another person, but the other person sees them only as a friend and has no romantic feelings towards them. It refers to the situation where one person wants a romantic relationship, but instead ends up being just a friend.
Examples:
1. John has had a crush on Sarah for months, but she only sees him as a friend. He is stuck in the friend zone.
2. Emily confesses her feelings to Mark, but he kindly tells her that he values their friendship too much and doesn’t want to pursue a romantic relationship. Emily feels disappointed because she’s been friend-zoned.
