Btdt is slang for “been there, done that.” It is used to indicate that the speaker has already experienced or accomplished something mentioned in the conversation.

Btdt is often used as a response to show familiarity or understanding of a situation. It implies that the speaker has already gone through a similar experience and knows what the other person is talking about. It can also be used to express boredom or lack of enthusiasm when someone is discussing something that the speaker has already encountered.

Example 1:
Person A: “Ugh, I hate doing laundry. It’s such a chore!”
Person B: “Btdt. I know exactly what you mean.”

Example 2:
Person A: “I just got promoted at work!”
Person B: “Congratulations! Btdt, I got promoted last year.”

Note: In the above examples, Person B uses “btdt” to either express understanding of the dislike for laundry or to indicate their previous experience of getting promoted.
