Whitewashed

The term “whitewashed” in internet slang means when someone of non-white ethnicity or background adopts and assimilates into the culture and behaviors of white people, often denying or downplaying their own racial or cultural identity.

Examples:
1. She used to be so proud of her Asian heritage, but ever since she started hanging out with those white kids, she’s become completely whitewashed. Now she only listens to pop music and doesn’t want to speak her native language anymore.
2. He grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood and went to schools where he was the only person of color. As a result, he developed whitewashed tendencies, like dressing in preppy outfits and feeling uncomfortable around other people of his own race.
