Turn Down refers to the act of rejecting someone or something, usually in a social context. It is used to express disinterest or disapproval towards a specific person, proposal, event, or idea.

Examples:

1. A: “Hey, I heard John asked you out. What did you say?”
B: “I had to turn him down because I’m not really into him.”

2. A: “Are you going to Sarah’s party tonight?”
B: “Nah, I think I’ll turn it down. I have other plans.”

The term is often used to decline romantic advances or date invitations.
It can also be used to decline invitations to events or activities.
