Tripping

Tripping: It means someone is overreacting or exaggerating about something. They may be getting upset or making a big deal out of a situation that doesn’t warrant it.

Examples:

1. Sarah: “I can’t believe Jessica didn’t invite me to her party! I thought we were friends!”
John: “Calm down, you’re tripping. Maybe she just forgot.”

2. Mark: “My boss asked me to redo this report and I’m so mad! It’s not even a big deal!”
Emily: “Don’t trip, he just wants it to be perfect.”
