The internet slang term “The Cut” refers to a situation or action that is very obviously wrong or unacceptable. It is often used to express disapproval or disappointment.

Examples:

1. After finding out that his friend had lied to him about the party, Mark was not pleased. He told him directly, “Dude, lying to me about the party was really not cool. That’s definitely The Cut!”

2. Lisa couldn’t believe what she saw on social media. Someone had shared a private conversation without permission. She immediately commented, “Wow, sharing someone else’s private messages? That’s a serious invasion of privacy, that’s The Cut!”
