The internet slang termThe Cat’s Out of the Bag” means that a secret has been revealed or information that was supposed to be kept private has been made public.

Example 1:
Person A: Hey, did you hear that Sarah got accepted into her dream university?
Person B: Yeah, the cat’s out of the bag! She posted about it on social media yesterday.

Example 2:
Person A: I can’t believe you told everyone about my surprise birthday party!
Person B: Sorry, I didn’t mean to, but someone accidentally let the cat out of the bag when they mentioned it in our chat group.
