Swoop is an internet slang term used to describe the act of taking someones spot or stealing something quickly and unexpectedly. It can also refer to making a sudden move or taking advantage of a situation before someone else does. Here are two practical examples of how this term can be used:

1. Imagine you and your friends are waiting in line for concert tickets. Suddenly, you notice that there’s a shorter line forming on the other side. You turn to your friends and say, “Let’s swoop over to the other line before it gets long!”

2. You and your colleagues are participating in a competitive game at work. Your teammate fumbles, and the ball rolls away for a moment. Without hesitation, you swoop in, grab the ball, and score a point for your team.

Synonyms:
grab, snatch, seize, steal
