The internet slang termSteal Your Thunder” means when someone takes credit for or gains attention for something that someone else had planned or accomplished. It refers to the act of overshadowing or undermining someone’s achievements or ideas by claiming them as their own or by doing something bigger or more noticeable.

Examples:

1. John had been working on a project for weeks and was really excited to share it with his team. However, during the meeting, his colleague Mark presented a similar idea, but in a more dramatic and attention-grabbing way. Mark completely stole John’s thunder and received all the praise and recognition that should have gone to John.

2. Sarah had been planning a surprise birthday party for her best friend Rachel. She had everything ready, from decorations to a special gift. However, their mutual friend Jessica threw an impromptu party a day earlier and invited everyone, including Rachel. Sarah’s efforts were overshadowed by Jessica, who unintentionally stole her thunder by celebrating early.
