Snail Mail is a term used in internet slang to refer to traditional postal mail or physical letters delivered by mail carriers. It is called “snail mail” because compared to electronic communication, it is considered slow. Here are two examples illustrating the use of this term:

Example 1:

I can’t believe he still wants to send me snail mail instead of just emailing me the documents.
I’m excited to receive a package in snail mail from my pen pal across the country!

Example 2:

She asked for my address so she could send me a birthday card via snail mail instead of just sending a digital greeting.
My grandparents prefer sending snail mail as they find the personal touch of handwritten letters more special.
