A “rush job” refers to a task or assignment that needs to be completed quickly, often with tight deadlines or limited time for thorough preparation. It typically implies that quality might be compromised due to the accelerated pace of work.

Examples:

2. My boss asked me to redesign the company’s website over the weekend. It’s going to be a rush job since we need it up and running by Monday morning.
