RTFAQ stands for “Read The Frequently Asked Questions.” It is a slang term used to tell someone to read or consult the FAQ section before asking a question.

Examples:

Example 1:

Person A: Hey, can you tell me how to install this software?

Person B: RTFAQ. The installation steps are already explained in the FAQ section.

Example 2:

Person A: What are the requirements for joining this online community?

Person B: Instead of asking, RTFAQ. All the membership requirements are clearly stated in the Frequently Asked Questions.
