The internet slang term “Put Up To” means to influence or persuade someone to do something, usually an undesirable action or behavior. This term is often used to describe situations where one person encourages or convinces another person to engage in an activity they may not have done otherwise.

Examples:

1. Mike’s friends put him up to pranking his neighbor by ringing the doorbell and running away. He wouldn’t have done it on his own, but their influence made him go along with the idea.

2. Jessica’s sister put her up to trying out for the school play even though she was nervous. Thanks to her sister’s encouragement, she decided to give it a shot and ended up landing a lead role.
