Put The Mockers On” is a slang term used to say that someone or something has jinxed or spoiled a situation. It means that an action or comment has caused bad luck or prevented something from happening successfully.

Example 1:
After bragging about how well his team was going to perform, John accidentally put the mockers on them when they ended up losing the match.

Example 2:
Lucy was about to receive a promotion at work, but her colleague’s negative comment put the mockers on her chances, and the promotion went to someone else.
