Purgatory: It refers to the state of waiting or being stuck in an unpleasant situation or limbo on the internet. It is commonly used to describe when someone is waiting for a response or resolution, but there is no immediate answer or action available.

Examples:
– 1. John sent a direct message to his favorite celebrity, hoping to get a reply. After several days of no response, he felt like he was trapped in internet purgatory, constantly checking his inbox, waiting for any sign.
– 2. Sarah ordered a new phone online, but due to a delay in shipping, she had no idea when it would arrive. Every day seemed like purgatory as she eagerly refreshed the tracking page, desperate for updates on the delivery status.
