The internet slang term “Pull Rank” refers to the act of someone exerting their authority or influence to gain an advantage or assert control over a situation or a person. It basically means using one’s higher position or status to get their way or have their opinions acknowledged and respected.

Examples:

1. During a discussion in an online forum about a controversial topic, a user who is a prominent expert in the field might “pull rank” by mentioning their credentials or experience to silence opposing views and establish their opinion as the most valid one.

2. In an online gaming community, a player who has a high level or superior gaming skills might “pull rank” by bragging about their achievements or using their reputation to intimidate and dominate other players, gaining an advantaged position within the game.
