Pranked: When someone plays a funny or mischievous trick on someone else as a joke, especially with the intention of surprising or confusing them.
Example 1:
John hid his coworker’s stapler as a prank. When she went to use it, she couldn’t find it and started looking everywhere. Years of pranking had made John an expert.
Without realizing it, Mary fell victim to her brother’s prank when he secretly changed her phone’s language to Mandarin. She was confused when all the texts and menus turned into Chinese characters.
Example 2:
As a prank, David placed a whoopee cushion on his friend’s chair. When his friend sat down during a serious meeting, the loud noise led to everyone bursting into laughter.
A group of friends decided to prank their roommate by wrapping his entire bedroom with aluminum foil while he was away. When he returned, he couldn’t believe his eyes and joined in on the laughter.
