Plopping, in internet slang, refers to the act of dropping something carelessly or abruptly. It is often used to describe the action of abruptly leaving a conversation or abruptly ending a discussion without any further explanation or consideration.

Examples:

1. User1: “Hey, did you hear about the new movie coming out?”
User2: “Yeah, it looks interesting!”
User3: “I saw the trailer yesterday, and I can’t wait to watch it!”
User2: “Actually, never mind. It doesn’t seem that good. I’m plopping out of this conversation.”

2. User1: “I can’t believe how late they released the new album!”
User2: “I know, right? They should’ve released it sooner!”
User1: “I can’t help but wonder why they took so long.”
User2: “Maybe they were facing some issues in production?”
User1: “Or they wanted to build up more hype.”
User2: “True, but it’s frustrating not knowing the real reason.”
User1: “Yeah, they kind of plopped the release date on us without any explanation.”
