The internet slang termplay along” means to pretend or go along with something, usually a joke or prank, even if you know its not true or serious. It involves participating in the situation without revealing that you are aware of the true nature of it.

Examples:

1. Person A: “Hey, did you know theyre giving out free iPhones if you lick your elbow?”
Person B: “Seriously? That’s crazy! Im definitely going to try it, then!”
Person B is playing along by pretending to believe the false information and expressing an intent to participate.

2. Online Game Chat:

Player A: “OMG, I just found a secret treasure chest in this game that gives you unlimited coins!”
Player B: “What? That’s amazing! Where is it? I need to find it too!”

Player B is playing along by acting excited about the nonexistent treasure chest, showing interest, and asking for its location.
