Name-Dropper

A name-dropper refers to a person who frequently mentions the names of famous or important people they claim to know or have met. They do this to try to create an impression of importance or connection with famous individuals.

Examples:
1. Emily is such a name-dropper, always bragging about the celebrities she supposedly hangs out with. Its obvious she’s just trying to impress everyone.
2. I can’t stand Tom’s constant name-dropping. Every time we talk, he finds a way to slip in how he knows this famous singer or that famous actor.
