The internet slang term “Model T” refers to something that is considered to be outdated or antiquated. It is named after the Ford Model T, which was one of the first mass-produced automobiles. Just as the Model T is no longer used today, the term is used to describe things that are no longer relevant or up-to-date.
Examples:
1. When my dad mentioned buying a flip phone, I couldn’t help but laugh and say, “Dad, a flip phone is a Model T in the era of smartphones!”
2. My friend sent me a floppy disk with some old files on it. I jokingly replied, “Wow, this is like receiving a Model T in a world of cloud storage and USB drives!”
