Making amends

Making amends refers to the act of apologizing or reconciling with someone after causing harm or conflict. It involves taking responsibility for one’s actions and making an effort to repair the relationship or situation.

Example 1:

After the argument, Jane realized she was wrong and decided to make amends with her best friend by writing her a sincere apology letter.
John borrowed his sister’s phone without asking and accidentally dropped it, causing damage. To make amends, he offered to pay for the repairs and showed genuine remorse for his actions.
