Lemme

Lemme is an internet slang term that is short for “let me.” It is commonly used to ask someone to allow or give permission for the speaker to do something. It is often used in casual conversations to sound more laid-back and relaxed.

Example 1:
In a group chat:

Friend 1: Hey, can you send me that picture from last night’s party?
Friend 2: Lemme check my phone, I think I have it.
Friend 1: Thanks, dude!

Example 2:
In a face-to-face conversation:

Person A: I’m so hungry, could you grab me a snack from the kitchen?
Person B: Sure, lemme just finish this paragraph and I’ll get it for you.
