Alarper” is an internet slang term used to refer to someone who engages in live-action role-playing, which involves dressing up as fictional characters and acting out scenarios in real-life settings. It is often used as a derogatory term to mock or ridicule individuals who take role-playing too seriously or are overly obsessed with the fantasy elements.

Examples:

John is such a larper; he spends hours creating intricate costumes and props for his Dungeons & Dragons sessions, often acting out the battle scenes in his backyard as if they were real.

– Sarah’s friends often make fun of her for being a larper. They think it’s silly how she attends medieval-themed events and talks in a fake British accent, pretending to be a knight from the Middle Ages.
