Hoco

Hoco is short for “Homecoming,” which is an annual high school event where students celebrate and reunite, usually including a dance. It is commonly used as an abbreviation or code word among young people when referring to this event. Here are two examples:

Example 1:

Hey, are you going to hoco this year?
I can’t wait for hoco! It’s going to be so much fun!
Did you see Kelly’s dress for hoco? It’s absolutely stunning!

Example 2:

Hoco is only a week away. I still need to find a date!
Our school’s hoco theme is ‘Under the Sea.’ I’m excited to see how they decorate the gym!
