High Waters: When used as slang, “high waters” refers to the length of one’s pants falling above the ankle, typically giving the impression of them being too short.

Examples:

1. Megan’s new jeans were so trendy, but unfortunately, they turned out to be high waters, exposing her socks.

2. Carl’s dad mistakenly bought him a pair of pants that were high waters, making him the subject of jokes among his classmates.
