Hard Copy

Hard Copy is an internet slang term used to refer to a physical or printed version of a document or file. It is usually used when someone wants to emphasize the need or request for a tangible copy of something rather than a digital version. The term is derived from the contrast between physical copies made on paper and electronic files stored on computers or servers.

Examples:

1. I need a hard copy of the report by tomorrow’s meeting. Please print it out and bring it with you.

2. The professor asked the students to submit their assignments online, but he also required a hard copy to be handed in during the next class.
