To “go through” is a slang term that means to experience or undergo a particular situation, often one that is difficult or challenging. It can also refer to using or consuming something, often in large quantities.

When someone says they “went through” a breakup, it means they experienced the emotional pain and difficulties associated with it. Similarly, if someone says they “went through” a tough time, it means they faced and endured a challenging period in their life. Another usage ofgo through” is when someone says they “went through” a pack of cigarettes or a bottle of wine, implying that they used or consumed the entire item.
