GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time, which is a time standard that is used across the world. In internet slang, GMT is often used to refer to an individuals specific time zone or to coordinate meeting or communication times between people in different time zones.

Example 1:
Person A: Are you free to have a video call at 9 PM GMT?
Person B: Unfortunately, Ill be asleep by then. Could we try 5 PM GMT tomorrow instead?

Example 2:
Person A: I need to submit my essay by 11:59 PM GMT. When is your deadline?
Person B: My deadline is 6 AM GMT the next day, so I have a few more hours.

In both examples, GMT is used as a common reference point for discussing time zones and coordinating meeting or submission times.
