The internet slang termGet Realis used to encourage someone to be honest, realistic, or practical. It is often used during online conversations to challenge exaggerated statements, false claims, or overly idealistic views.

Here are two practical examples illustrating the use of this term:

In a discussion about a highly anticipated movie, someone claims, “This movie is going to make billions at the box office and change cinema forever!” Another user responds, “Get real, movies rarely have such an impact. It’s great to be excited, but let’s not set unrealistic expectations.”

During a heated debate about the price of a popular video game, someone argues, “Anyone who doesn’t think this game is worth $100 is a fool!” Another user replies, “Get real, no game is universally worth such a high price. It might be valuable to some people, but let’s consider the market average.”
