Fronting

Fronting is an internet slang term used to describe when someone is pretending to be or presenting themselves as someone they are not. It typically involves individuals putting on a false persona or exaggerating certain aspects of their personality to gain attention or deceive others online.

Examples:

1. Person A: Did you see that profile picture on Instagram? I heard it’s not really her.
Person B: Yeah, she’s definitely fronting. I’ve seen her without filters, and she looks completely different.

2. Person A: I saw this guy claiming to be a professional gamer on Twitch, but he couldn’t even finish a basic level.
Person B: Sounds like he’s fronting for views. People do that all the time to make themselves look more impressive online.
