Food Coma is a term used in internet slang to describe the feeling of extreme drowsiness or lethargy that one experiences after consuming a large amount of food, particularly a heavy or indulgent meal.

Example 1:

After eating that huge Thanksgiving dinner, I fell into a serious food coma and took a long nap on the couch.
Every time I have a big Italian feast, I end up in a food coma and can barely move for hours.

Example 2:

Yesterday, I couldn’t resist ordering a whole pizza for myself. As soon as I finished, I entered a food coma and dozed off on the living room floor.
During the barbecue party, we all ate so much grilled meat that we were in a food coma for the rest of the evening, unable to do anything but lie on the grass and relax.
