Flairport is an internet slang term used to describe someone who takes or stages extravagant and showy photos at an airport for the sole purpose of gaining attention on social media. These individuals often prioritize capturing the perfect picture over the actual purpose of being at the airport, which is to travel. Flairport is a combination of the words “flair” and “airport” and is typically used in a mocking or sarcastic manner to criticize this behavior.

Examples:

1. Olivia spent more time posing for an Instagram photo at the airport than actually checking in for her flight. She was the ultimate flairport, striking various poses with her luggage while ignoring the long queue forming behind her.

2. Jake couldn’t resist the temptation of being a flairport himself when he spotted a private jet parked at the airport. He asked his friend to take countless pictures of him pretending to board the luxurious plane, even though he was just there to drop off his cousin.

Some characteristics associated with being a flairport:

Excessive posing and taking photos at the airport
Valuing appearance and social media attention over the purpose of travel
Creating an illusion of a glamorous lifestyle while at the airport
Prioritizing getting the perfect shot over being considerate of others in a busy environment

Synonyms:
airport
