Facebook stalking refers to the act of intensely observing or gathering information about someone on Facebook without their knowledge or consent. This is typically done by closely examining their Facebook profile, photos, updates, likes, comments, and other personal details. It can be done out of curiosity, obsession, or simply to gain insights about a persons life or interests. However, it is important to note that Facebook stalking is considered an invasion of privacy and can be unethical or harmful if taken to extremes.

Examples:
1. Susan couldn’t help herself but start Facebook stalking her ex-boyfriend after their breakup. She carefully examined his photos, posts, and even liked some of his recent activities, hoping to find clues about his new relationship or to see if he was feeling as miserable as she was.
2. During lunch break, Mike overheard some coworkers talking about a new colleague they were supposed to meet. Curious to know more about the person, he decided to engage in a little Facebook stalking. Mike searched for the colleague’s name, clicked on their profile, and went through their public posts and photos to learn about their interests and hobbies.

Synonyms:
Cyberstalking, online stalking
