EYC

EYC is an internet slang term/abbreviation that stands for “Excuse Your Convenience.” It is commonly used to sarcastically or mockingly express irritation or annoyance towards someone who is taking their time, inconveniencing others, or causing delays.

You tell your friend that you’ve been waiting for them for an hour at a café:

• Friend: Sorry I’m late, there was so much traffic!

• You: Oh, no worries. I’ve just been sitting here for an hour, EYC.

2.

You order food delivery, but it takes much longer than expected:

• You: I can’t believe my food is still not here. It’s been over an hour!

• Delivery person: I apologize for the delay, we had some difficulties finding your address.

• You: EYC, right? Thanks for the update.
