Divesters is an internet slang term used to describe individuals who intentionally distance themselves or detach from a particular person, group, or community. It refers to those who choose to separate themselves from others, sometimes due to disagreements, conflicts, or simply to disengage from certain online relationships.

Examples:

1. In an online gaming community, some players may become divesters when they no longer enjoy playing the game with others. They might disconnect from their gaming buddies, stop participating in group activities, and prefer solo gaming instead.

2. In a social media context, divesters can be commonly found when heated discussions or debates arise. If someone believes the conversation is becoming toxic or unproductive, they might choose to become a divester by muting or unfollowing the individuals involved, thus avoiding further engagement.

Synonyms:
disinvestors, sell-offs, opposers, withdrawers
