Cracking On” refers to the act of making a romantic or flirtatious approach towards someone, often in a confident and persistent manner. It is commonly used to describe someone’s attempts to win someone else’s attention or affection.

John has been cracking on to Sarah for weeks, constantly texting her cute messages and asking her out for coffee. He’s really putting in the effort to win her over.

Example 2:
