Code Switch is a slang term used to describe the act of altering ones language or behavior to fit in or communicate effectively in different social environments or situations. It refers to the ability to switch between different codes or languages, often happening online.

Examples:

1. In a gaming community, a player might “code switch” by using specific gaming jargon and slang to blend in and be easily understood by fellow gamers. For instance, when playing an online multiplayer game, someone might say, “I need a healer for our raid, DPS code-switching to support!”

2. On social media platforms, individuals might “code switch” by adapting their writing style and vocabulary to match the tone and language used by the majority of users. For example, a person might post a tweet saying, “Just watched the latest episode of that show, it’s fire! Code switching for the stan community, the acting was on point!”
