Clopen

“Clopen” is a slang term used on the internet to describe a situation where an employee has to close a store at night and then come back early in the morning to open it.

Examples:
1. After working a late shift, I had to pull a clopen the next day. I closed the store at 11 pm and had to be back by 6 am to open it again.
2. Poor Sarah had to do a clopen yesterday. She closed the coffee shop at midnight and then had to be back at 4 am to start the morning shift. She’s exhausted!
