Clapback

Clapback: a term used in internet slang to describe a sharp and witty response to criticism or an insult.

Examples:

1. When someone commented on her weight, Sarah didn’t hesitate to clapback with, “Well, I may be a little bigger, but at least I’m not as small-minded as you.”
2. John’s ex-girlfriend posted a snarky comment on his social media picture, but he quickly clapped back by saying, “Funny how you suddenly want to become interested after you see me doing well without you.”
