Clam Up: This internet slang term means to suddenly become quiet or to stop talking, usually due to feeling shy, anxious, or embarrassed. It is often used to describe someone who was talkative but suddenly becomes silent or refuses to speak in a particular situation.

Examples:

1. John was telling us funny stories all night, but as soon as our teacher walked into the room, he clammed up and didn’t utter a word.

2. During the group video call, Sarah was participating actively until her crush joined the conversation. She immediately clammed up and turned bright red, unable to speak.
