Chin-Check: To confront or challenge someone aggressively or forcefully.

Chin-check is slang that originated in urban communities, particularly in African-American culture. It refers to a physical act of checking or testing someone’s level of toughness or willingness to fight. It can also be used metaphorically to describe confronting someone verbally or challenging their beliefs or actions.

Example 1: After the argument escalated, John decided to chin-check the guy who was disrespecting him.

Example 2: The new employee was behaving arrogantly, so the manager had to chin-check him by reminding him of his responsibilities.
