Chilango is a slang term used in Mexico to refer to people from Mexico City.

Chilango is derived from the wordchile,” which is a common ingredient in Mexican cuisine, and is often used to describe someone from the capital city who is known for their quick wit, fast-paced lifestyle, and love for spicy food.
