Bridle is a slang term used to describe someone who is easily irritated or gets angry quickly. It is often used to refer to a person who is easily provoked or has a short temper.

This term comes from the image of a horse that is wearing a bridle, which is a piece of equipment used to control and direct the horse. In the context of slang, it implies that the person in question can be easily “controlled” or manipulated into a state of anger or frustration.

Example 1:
Person A: Why did John get so upset over such a small thing?
Person B: Oh, hes always been bridle. Anything can set him off.

Example 2:
Person A: Did you see how Sarah reacted when someone accidentally bumped into her?
Person B: Yeah, she’s definitely bridle. It doesn’t take much to trigger her temper.

Synonyms:
harness, control, rein, restrain, restrict
