Break Your Back is a slang term that means to put in a tremendous amount of physical effort or exertion. It is often used to describe working very hard, often to the point of strain or exhaustion.

This slang term originated from the image of someone bending over backwards or contorting their body in an extreme manner, as if their back were breaking, to achieve a goal or complete a task. It implies that the person is going above and beyond normal expectations and pushing themselves to the limit to accomplish something.

Examples:
1. “I had to break my back to meet the deadline for that project.”
2. “She’s been breaking her back all summer to save up for her dream vacation.”
