Botting is a slang term used to describe the act of using automated computer programs, known as bots, to perform tasks on the internet. These tasks can include anything from generating social media followers to collecting in-game resources automatically.

In botting, individuals or organizations create bots that simulate human-like behavior to interact with online platforms effectively. They often use programming scripts to imitate human actions, such as clicking, typing, or navigating websites. The purpose of botting can vary, ranging from gaining a competitive advantage in online games to promoting social media profiles or generating fake website traffic.

Example 1: “I heard that some players in the game have been botting to collect rare items and level up faster.”
Example 2: “This popular social media influencer was caught botting to gain thousands of followers overnight.”
