Bee’s Knees means something or someone that is exceptional or outstanding. It is commonly used to describe a person, object, or idea that is considered the best or top-notch. It can also be used sarcastically to mean the complete opposite – something or someone that is unremarkable or insignificant.

This slang term originated in the 1920s and was popularized during the Prohibition era in the United States. The phrasebees knees” was used to refer to something small and insignificant, but it later evolved to mean something excellent or impressive. It is believed to have been influenced by other expressions of the time, such as “cat’s pajamas” and “snake’s hips,” which had a similar meaning.
