Bark is slang that means to aggressively shout or speak sharply at someone. It is often used to describe someone who is being rude or confrontational in their tone or manner of speaking.

When someone “barks” at another person, they are speaking in a harsh or demanding way, often yelling or using a loud and aggressive tone. This term is commonly used to express annoyance or frustration with someone’s behavior or attitude.

Example 1:
Person A: Can you please pass me the salt?
Person B: Why don’t you get it yourself? You’re capable, aren’t you?
Person A: There’s no need to bark at me. I was just asking a simple favor.

Example 2:
Teacher: I need everyone to quiet down and listen!
Student: Why are you barking at us? We were just having a conversation.

In both examples, the term “bark” is used to point out that someone is speaking in a harsh or aggressive way, and that their tone is uncalled for or unnecessary.
